Our coaching philosophy

We recognize that all children require security, new experiences, an opportunity to just play and to socialize and all of our sessions will seek to provide these essential foundations. Our fundamental coaching philosophy states that;

"A player can learn a lot by correction but even more by encouragement."

Age and ability appropriate programmes

At InsideOut Soccer Schools we believe it is essential to provide sessions that take into account each child's current physical and mental development stage. We aim to provide the right ingredients mixed in the right proportions to make sessions effective but enjoyable for all children taking part. We provide sessions for girls and boys and for a range of age groups and abilities including;

Little nippers - ages 3-5, Mini-squad - ages 5-7,
Allstars ages 7-9, Hotshots - ages 9-11 & Seniors - ages 11-16

The latest equipment and technology

At InsideOut Soccer Schools we understand that if children are having fun they are much more likely to learn. To ensure they enjoy their sessions we use a range of equipment and resources which stimulate their interest and motivation. Examples include;

• Electronic Speed guns-measuring the power of each child's shot!
• Soccer volleyball/tennis - practicing their skills in a fun team game
• Soccer Swingball-a one v one game which improves timing of the ball without having to fetch the ball after every shot!!

The latest coaching techniques

Futsal
Futsal is a small sided game with a difference. It helps to develop individual technique and touch very quickly due to the smaller size of the playing area and specially designed footballs (30% less rebound than a normal ball).

Music
Music is an essential part of the InsideOut approach to coaching. We find that music not only increases enjoyment and motivation but it also helps children to improve their movement and co-ordination with the ball.

Video/DVD
Videos and films can provide a fantastic tool to demonstrate or motivate children to try out new skills or new moves and we feel this is an essential element of the overall coaching approach, remember, a picture can paint a thousand words!

SoccAssess

As well as having lots of fun on one of our courses, we feel it is important that each child improves their skills during their time with us. SoccAssess is an innovative new system exclusive to InsideOut Soccer Schools which enables each child/parent to assess their progress during attendance at one of our courses. We understand that skill levels will vary form child to child, what is important to us is not how one child compares to another but how much they progress from their own starting point. By measuring each child's individual skill levels at both the start and the end of the course we are able to measure their progress during their time with us! The results are then compiled in a short report which is presented to each child and parent at the end of the course.

Quality, experienced, professional coaching

All of our coaches are FA qualified, have undergone an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check and have received an FA First Aid Certificate. Our coaches have all played football at the highest levels of the Professional, Semi-Professional and Amateur game and use their vast experience and knowledge to help young players to develop their skills.
